Skye Ridge Farm is a 90-acre family farm nestled at the foot of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains in Markham, Virginia, about 50 minutes west of Northern Virginia. We raise 100% grass fed Belted Galloway beef cattle, which are known to be great foragers, producing excellent tasting meat.
All our beef are from cattle born and raised on the farm. They are rotated year-round on our pastures with hay fed during winter months. We make our own compost for fertilizing the pastures. Our hay comes from a farmer who engages in healthy farming methods. We use no chemicals, hormones, or antibiotics except for illness.
Our medium-sized cattle make a whole or half cow purchase easier to fit into home freezers. We also sell by the cut! We can meet up with customers for purchase pick up. Whole and half cows are picked up by the buyer directly, at our humane-certified butcher in Front Royal, Virginia. All beef is sold frozen and is USDA-inspected.
