Briars Farmstead is your homeplace in the northern Shenandoah Valley for nourishing foods produced by Matt and Ruth Szechenyi on the historic farm, The Briars. Set in tranquil scenery near Winchester and a little over an hour's drive from the Washington, D.C. area, Briars Farmstead provides pastured meats, grass-fed dairy, eggs, seasonal vegetables and meal ideas for you and your family.
Passionate about cooking and eating nutrient-dense, grass-fed meats, Matt and Ruth began their grass-based farming operation in 2005. Rotational grazing restores soil fertility and forage quality as livestock thrive on pasture at Briars Farmstead, free from all toxic farming practices.
