Emmer & Co. sought out an alternative to the industrial Cornish Cross birds, so we raise a slow-growth breed that is suited for living healthy, active lives on our Northern California pastures. Our chickens take two times as long to grow as industrial birds, which ensures that they never suffer from health issues relating to fast growth, and have healthy immune systems that never need antibiotics.
