At the Oswald Cattle Company, we raise our animals at the foot of the Sangre De Cristo mountains, where our cattle harvest the sun. Our goal is to bring you quality beef with great taste and the health benefits that come from eating an all-natural product.
Our animals continually eat from "nature's salad bar," receiving a diet rich in legumes and natural grasses that are converted into a high protein, healthy meal. We use management intensive grazing techniques in an effort to mimic the way nature used to do it, changing pastures frequently, allowing our grass to rest and regrow.
Our calves are born and raised at home, processed locally, and then aged to ensure taste and tenderness. We treat our animals humanely, and do not use chemical fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides on our pastures. We do not treat our grassfat calves with antibiotics, synthetic growth hormones, nor feed animal by-products.
We offer whole carcasses, halves, and split halves. We also offer a variety pack as well as ground beef. Inquiries are welcome. Brochures are available on request.
