Richards Grassfed Beef. The Richards family involvement in agriculture stems back over 70 years, when Thomas H. Richards Sr. purchased the first 680-acre parcel. Four generations later, we are still running cattle on Richards Ranch which now boasts over 6,600 acres of foothill countryside. Cradled alongside the Yuba river 70 miles American Grassfednortheast of Sacramento, our cattle graze year round above the valley fog layer and below the Sierra snow line.

The Richards Family has dedicated themselves to the preservation and growth of the environment in which they raise their cattle. As the Richards often say, “take care of the grass and the cows will take care of themselves.” With a lush and healthy environment it is no wonder our Black Angus and Murray Grey herd live happy and grow to a finishing weight of 1,150–1,250 pounds.

Richards Grassfed Beef is American Grassfed Association certified and processed in USDA inspected facilities. Our cattle spend their entire life on pasture and encompass the essence of 100% grass fed raised and finished.
