Thousand Hills Farm produces 100% Grassfed Red Angus Beef, Berkshire Pastured Pork, and Heritage-breed Pastured Chicken and Eggs for the local community.
Our cattle are born, raised, and finished on pasture without antibiotics, pesticides, growth hormones or steroid implants, and grain. No Grain, Ever. We practice rotational grazing to improve animal and soil health. Steers are raised until around 28 months of age and processed locally under USDA inspection. Beef processing is scheduled for September 29, 2017. (Sold out for 2017)
Our pigs are raised completely outdoors and are moved to new pastures regularly. They are free to dig and forage, and are supplied with free-choice, locally produced, non-GMO grains at all times. Absolutely no growth hormones, antibiotics, or medications. Pork processing is scheduled for October 17, 2017.
We are now raising slow-growing heritage New Hampshire chickens for both meat and eggs. Our meat birds are raised in the fresh air in floorless pasture shelters where they can forage and dig for bugs and worms. Our chickens are moved to fresh grass every day and supplemented with locally produced non-GMO feed. Fresh chicken will be available in September.
Eggs from our pastured New Hampshires are always available self-serve at the farm for $3.00/dozen.
We always practice calm and humane livestock handling, which reduces animal stress and creates a better quality product.
Beef is sold by the quarter, pork by the half, and chickens are either whole or cut up. Reservations must be made ahead of time.
