Cates Family Farm has been in the Cates Family for nearly 45 years, and has produced beef on its pastures for over 100 years. Our lean, natural Jersey and Angus steers are raised free-range, grass-fed and grass-finished, without growth hormones or antibiotics. Flavor and tenderness are enhanced through the aging process prior to packaging.
The Cates Family Farm is certified to use the "Animal Welfare Approved" label; we were the first beef farm in the US to earn the use of this label.AWA logo
Our beef is a delicious and healthy product. It is available as steaks, roasts, lean ground beef, and summer sausage—all prepared at Black Earth Meats, a USDA-inspected processing plant certified for organic and Animal Welfare Approved processing.
