Fairview Fruit Farm

Fairview Fruit Farm strives to use natural farming methods that benefit the health of our customers, our livestock and the land on which we live. We offer grass fed beef, free-range poultry, and pasture-raised pork, as well as fresh produce and numerous other products.

Our calves and steer are strictly grass fed and are not given any grains. Our veal calves have free choice of their own mother’s milk and grass, which does lead to a redder meat than store bought veal (they are not given access to any grass). Meats from our grass fed cows are very nutritious and have far more vitamins, minerals and healthy fats than meats from grain fed cattle.

Our poultry comes from chickens that have free access to pasture, fresh water and fresh air. They are not confined to a chicken house or cages or fed antibiotics. They roam freely around the pasture surrounding our portable chicken coop where they roost at night.

Our pigs are raised on pasture just like our other animals. They freely roam our orchard where they eat fallen fruits, as well as food scraps that we provide them. Our bacon and hams are nitrate free.

Since 2009, the farm began the transition to natural farming methods and minimize our use of chemicals. We became interested in natural farming through reading some books written by Joel Salatin. We do our best to keep our prices reasonable, so that our customers can afford the nutritious, wholesome food that natural farming provides.
